1What QuriOS is

QuriOS is an AI tutor for school students in Classes 6–12 and for university learners in India. It helps with homework, explains topics, checks answers, creates practice questions and mock exams, supports revision, and shows parents how their child is doing. It is used by families: a parent or legal guardian holds the account, and children use a learner profile inside it.

2Accounts

• To hold an account you must be a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over. An adult university learner may create an account and add their own profile.
• You can sign in with Google, with an email address, or with a mobile number. Give us accurate details, and verify your mobile number with the one-time code we send.
• Keep your sign-in details and any PIN secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for how the profiles in it are used. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got in.
• One person should not share an account with people outside their family.

3Children

• Children do not have their own login. A learner profile belongs to the parent’s account.
• When you add a child, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and that you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy on their behalf. You are responsible for supervising your child’s use of QuriOS.
• You can edit, pause or delete a child’s profile at any time from your account.
• If we believe a profile has been created without a parent’s knowledge, we may remove it.

4What you get, and credits

• QuriOS is currently free to use. Each child profile receives an allowance of credits. Using the tutor and some other features uses credits.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are not refundable. When a child’s credits run out, the paid-for features pause until more credits are added.
• We may change the allowance, the features, or the way credits work. We may also introduce paid plans in future. We will tell you clearly beforehand, and we will not charge you for anything unless you have clearly agreed to it.
• Features can change, improve, move or be removed over time. Some depend on your device, your browser or what is enabled for your account.

5AI answers can be wrong

QuriOS uses AI. AI can make mistakes, miss things or give an answer that does not suit a particular syllabus, exam board or situation. Treat QuriOS as a study aid:

• Check important answers against the textbook or with a teacher.
• Marks and feedback on a child’s answers are guidance, not an official grade.
• We do not promise any exam result, marks or admission.
• QuriOS is not a substitute for a teacher, school, doctor, lawyer or any other professional, and it is not for emergencies.

6Safety

To help keep children safe, everything a child sends to the tutor, and every reply, is screened automatically for signs of self-harm, abuse and unsafe requests. When something serious is found, the tutor replies supportively and points the child to a trusted adult. We keep the flagged text so that our team can review it, and we alert the parent in the app, by browser notification and, if they opted in, on WhatsApp. Our Privacy Policy explains how this works.

Screening is a safety aid. It is not continuous human supervision and it cannot catch everything. It does not replace a parent’s attention. In an emergency, call 112 (India’s national emergency number) or your local emergency service.

7WhatsApp and notifications

• WhatsApp updates are optional and off by default. We send them only if you agree, separately, with the wording shown at the time.
• The messages are short updates such as: homework started, homework photos received, homework finished, homework still unfinished or no activity for the day, and safety alerts. They use fixed wording plus names and simple details such as a time or a count, and never what a child said to the tutor.
• You can stop at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by turning it off in Settings. We do not charge you for these messages. Your own WhatsApp or data charges may apply.
• WhatsApp messages are delivered through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform, which has its own terms.
• You can also turn on browser notifications, and turn them off in your browser.

8Acceptable use

Please do not:

• use QuriOS for anything unlawful, or to harass, abuse, threaten or endanger anyone;
• try to break, probe, overload or get around the security of QuriOS, or access anyone else’s account or data;
• copy, resell, reverse-engineer or scrape QuriOS, or use it to build a competing service;
• ask the AI for harmful, sexually explicit, violent or hateful material, or try to make it unsafe for a child;
• upload content that you do not have the right to use, or that includes other people’s personal details beyond what is on a normal homework page;
• pass off AI-written work as a child’s own where that breaks their school’s rules on academic honesty;
• share a child’s PIN or your account with people outside your family.

9Your content

You and your child keep ownership of what you upload or write, such as homework photos, answers and messages. You give us permission to use that content only to provide QuriOS to you: for example, to read a homework photo, to explain it, to check an answer, to keep your history, and to show you progress. That includes sending it to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the right to upload it.

10Our rights

QuriOS, including its software, design, text, branding and original content, belongs to Akcero and is protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use QuriOS for your family’s learning while you follow these Terms. All other rights are reserved.

11Feedback and the wishlist

If you send feedback, bug reports or ideas, including on the feature wishlist, you allow Akcero to use them to improve QuriOS, without payment or credit to you. Wishlist posts can be seen by other QuriOS families, so please keep personal details out of them.

12Other companies’ services

QuriOS uses services from other companies, such as AI providers, a sign-in provider, file storage, hosting and WhatsApp. They are described in our Privacy Policy. Their own terms apply to their services, and we are not responsible for them.

13Availability and changes

We try to keep QuriOS running well, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update, pause or change QuriOS for maintenance, security or other reasons.

14Suspension, ending and deleting your account

• You can delete a child’s profile, or your whole account, at any time (see Manage Family and Parent Settings). Deleting the account removes your sign-in and your children’s profiles and records, and it cannot be undone. Our Privacy Policy explains what is removed and how long copies stay in backups.
• We may suspend or close an account if these Terms are broken, if it is needed for safety or security, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why.

15Limits of our responsibility

QuriOS is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose, or that AI answers will be correct. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, marks or opportunity arising from the use of QuriOS. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited, or our responsibility for anything the law does not allow us to limit.

We are also not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, government action, power or network failures, or cyber attacks.

16Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any rights you have under law. If you have a concern, please write to us first at qurios@akcero.ai and we will do our best to resolve it.

17Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as QuriOS changes. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and we may ask you to accept the new version. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. If you do not agree to a change, you can delete your account.
